Isaiah 61:1

"The Spirit of the Lord God
is Upon Me,

Because the Lord has
anointed me

To preach good tidings
to the poor;

He has sent me to heal
the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to 
the captives,

And the opening of the
prison to those who are
bound;

To proclaim the 
acceptable year of the 
Lord

And the day of 
vengeance of our God

To comfort all who mourn,

To console those who
mourn in Zion,

To give them beauty for
ashes,

The oil of joy for
mourning,

The garment of praise
for the Spirit of 
heaviness;

That they may be called
trees of 
tighteousness,

The planting of the Lord,

About Pastor Bill:

Wm. (Bill) McLean was born in Sault Ste. Marie, On., and is father to 5 sons, Craig, Chad, Brett, Michael, & Jeff, and has been married for 30 years as of June 2010, to wife, Krys.   Bill has pastored almost 8 years at Faith Baptist Church in Echo Bay, On., prior to coming to Bethel Community Baptist Church in Sidney.   

Bill lost both mother and father as a young person and consequently had no authority figures or role models in his life.  In the midst of deep trouble, and as a young man of 24, Bill, called on God to be his Savior.  Thus began a life of thankfulness, service, and commitment. 

Twenty-five years later after continual ministry, many lives and marriages have been impacted through what Bill and Krys lovingly refer to as their, �living faith�.   Bill recognizes, �The Word� and �the Holy Spirit� have all the answers life demands.    

Bill loves The Lord, preaching, music, visitation, and humour.  He invites all who need a church home or family, or who simply want answers to life, knowledge of God, wounds healed, or lives changed, to join he and Krys at Bethel Community Baptist Church in Sidney, B.C.

About Krys:

Krys McLean was born in Sault Ste. Marie, On., and works closely in all aspects of ministry.  As a young woman, Krys worked as a legal secretary, then ventured into marketing and advertising with radio and print mediums.

In 1980, Krys gave her heart to the Lord, was baptized, and began teaching Sunday school for many years to children, then to adults.

Krys and Bill opened a health food store/water business in Niagara Falls, using it as an opportunity to meet people and share their love of the Lord wherever possible.  She taught Jr. High School for several years and worked with Victims of Crisis extensively.

Krys is a published freelance writer and has written for newspapers, magazines, radio, etc. and has spoken at Christian conferences and ladies groups.  Krys also counsels dealing especially with soul wounds from the past, deeply troubled persons, broken family situations, and lives.

Krys and Bill have a ministry of prayer, and, therein they say, lies the secret to all ministry success.

Leadership:

Bethel�s leadership is based on the principle of a plurality of elders who serve as �servant leaders� to the congregation.  The Elders Team of whom the Senior Pastor is one, serve as overseers of the activities of the Church, but focus attention on providing spiritual leadership, guidance and support to the ministry leaders and all members of the congregation. The Elders Team serves as the legal Board of Directors to meet the legal requirements of the Societies Act.
